Description

A current vacancy exists for a Board Approved Behavior Analyst (BCBA) within the Norristown Area School District. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree required
  • BCBA Certification required
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required
  • Organize workflow and coordinate activities
  • Excellent Planning and organization skills
  • Must be eligible to complete Medical Access billing
  • FBI, PA criminal background, and Child Abuse Clearances

Duties & Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement functional behavioral assessments and positive behavior support plans.
  • Provide assessment, program design and monitoring of students in the area of behavior analysis and management.
  • Provide consultative and direct support for students with a wide range of disabilities including autism, emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other categories of eligibility.
  • Engage in activities relevant to problem behavior prevention and school-wide systems of support.
  • Collect information, including behavioral charts on students and develop appropriate reports and files.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
  • Make use of test data, assessment findings, and other available data and resources.
  • Assist faculty with the development and implementation of best practices(s) necessary to meet the needs of students.
  • May participate in individualized education program planning, and other similar activities that supplement the total educational program objectives.
  • Provide professional development to staff in the implementation of behavioral programming.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Confer and meet regularly with building and district administrators, department chairpersons and others to access the need for training session or changes in existing programs.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in field of expertise and use of technology.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 

7.5 hours/ day (paid for 7 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch) 

189 days/year

 

Salary

 

 

2023-2024 Salary Schedule, prorated accordingly:

Bachelor's - $51,733 to $57,899(Step 5)

Bachelor's + 24 - $54,987 to $62,383(Step 5)

Master's - $58,074 to $66,699 (Step 5)

Master's + 15 - $60,547 to $69,608(Step 5)

Master's + 30 - $63,019 to $72,515 (Step 5)

Master's + 45 - $63,484 to $72,999 (Step 5)

Doctorate/Master's + 60 - $63,947 to $73,485 (Step 5)
